Everything ANA checked
Every conference ANA has looked at, listed or not. If one you know isn't in the catalog, it's either still being checked, outside ANA's scope, or it didn't pass the checks. The reasons below are the facts ANA found, not a verdict on anyone.
Didn't pass ANA's checks. Rejected as mill-like, kept so ANA learns the pattern. Organiser is EuroMid Academy of Business & Technology, a company founded in 2020 in Istanbul (office in Cyprus) that sells conference organisation and 'Host Our ICBT Conference' services. ICBT runs about three times a year in rotating cities (Istanbul, Doha, Manama, Amman, Oxford, Cambridge, Edinburgh, London) under per-city brands (ICBTIstanbul'2026, ICBTLondon'2026), alongside sister events (ICABER, ICSPBT, ICDTI). Topic scope is very broad: AI, 5G/6G, GIS, renewable energy, finance, marketing and management in one call. Fees are flat bundles: 'Virtual Attend + Publication USD 300' and 'Physical Attend + Publication USD 500', each listing 'Scopus-indexed publication' as an item. The history page says 'all accepted research being published in Scopus'. Review window: full paper 2026-09-03, acceptance 2026-10-10. The Springer route is genuine: ICBT volumes appear in Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems (Scopus-indexed), e.g. 'Navigating the Digital Frontier' (ICBT 2025, Vol 1). That is what makes it attractive, and also why the volume-production pattern matters. Flip to candidate only if a human decides LNNS volumes outweigh the commercial multi-event model.
- ✕Known mill — Multiple events/year, very broad scope, 'publication' sold as part of fee bundle
- ✕Organizer reputable — Commercial conference-organising company
- !Domain age — euromidabt.com registered 2024-12-30, icbtsummit.com 2026-05-24 (whois); per-event domains
- !Double blind — Review Process page claims double-blind, 2+ reviewers, similarity/AI screening; 5-week window from full paper to acceptance, publication sold in fee bundle
- !Past editions — Real editions 2020-2025 (31 Springer volumes on link.springer.com/conference/icbt), but 2-3 events/year in rotating cities
Didn't pass ANA's checks. Domain created 2026-01-10, no committee, vague 'prestigious indexed journals', copies the name of the legitimate ACI ICMLG series.
Didn't pass ANA's checks. Rejected: WASET (World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology) event. WASET lists thousands of single-topic 'International Conference on X' events per year, and runs the same ICOBHRM title in several cities in the same year. Listings: Jeddah Nov 2025 and Singapore Sep 2027, all 2027 editions sharing one 26 Aug 2026 submission deadline. The Singapore 2027 listing is billed as the '21st' edition. The submission deadline is more than a year before the event, and the camera-ready/early-bird deadline is 2027-05-10. WASET is widely documented in research-integrity literature for minimal review and for running many conferences as parallel sessions in one hotel. The official page is behind bot protection and was not read directly; facts come from search snippets and conferenceindex.org listings.
- ✕Double blind — Listing claims 'blind peer reviewed by three competent reviewers' (search snippet), WASET boilerplate; WASET documented accepting nonsense papers
- ✕Indexing verified — No verifiable indexing
- ✕Known mill — WASET
- ✕Organizer reputable — Commercial multi-conference organiser
- ✕Past editions — '21st' edition counts parallel same-title events in many cities
- !Archive history — Many same-title listings per year
Didn't pass ANA's checks. Rejected as mill-like, kept so ANA learns the pattern. No named organising institution or society: the site has only an email and a Lithuanian phone number, and the site template matches the generic multi-conference event pattern (page code references 'acavent'). History lists 9 editions in 8 years, including two 'rounds' in Vienna in 2025 and two in 2024 (Copenhagen, Milan). Abstract acceptance 'within 7 to 14 days'; the full paper is optional and requested only after the conference. Publication promise is vague: proceedings with ISSN/DOI 'submitted to Google Scholar', and journals 'indexed in Scopus, Web of Science, DOAJ' with no names. The scientific committee is a scattered list (IN, TR, PT, NG, DZ, XK, ES, IT, GR, BO and others) with no HRM society behind it. Marketing copy ('The Human Resource Management Conference of the Year').
- ✕Double blind — Claimed, yet submission FAQ says review takes 7-10 days and abstracts are accepted in 7-14 days; full paper optional and post-conference
- ✕Indexing specific — No named journals; proceedings only 'submitted to Google Scholar'
- ✕Indexing verified — Nothing verifiable
- ✕Known mill — Generic event-company pattern
- ✕Organizer reputable — No legal entity named
- !Archive history — History page only lists round number + city; no programmes or abstract books archived
- !Committee international — 11 countries (PT 5, IN 3, TR 3, ES 2, NG, DZ, XK, NL, IT, GR, BO) but no coherent research community
- !Committee listed — 20 named members with affiliations, but open 'Apply to Join' form for any PhD holder; no HRM society or host institution
- !Past editions — History page: 8 'rounds' since London 2019 (two each in 2024 and 2025), 9th in 2027; city names only
Didn't pass ANA's checks. Rejected as mill-like, and kept so ANA learns the pattern. Owned by VADEA (Varazdin Development and Entrepreneurship Agency, a private agency) and co-organised with University North, Uni Warsaw Faculty of Management, Aveiro GOVCOPP, Mohammed V Rabat, ENCGT Tangier and others. About 8-10 editions a year in rotating cities (108th Aveiro Mar 2024, 125th Cakovec 2025; 2026 editions in Lisbon, Split and Zagreb). Zagreb 2026 timeline: full paper due 2026-12-15, acceptance 2026-12-17, conference 2026-12-18. That is a two-day review. A 'publishing without attending' fee (EUR 300) is offered. Indexing is worded vaguely: 'Our past Books are indexed and abstracted by ProQuest, EconBIZ, CPCI (Web of Science) and EconLit'. Older volumes (roughly mid-2010s) were reportedly in CPCI-SSH, which is why Croatian authors used it for a1. No volume-level evidence for current editions was found, and no proceedings Scopus claim exists. Partner Scopus journals are a 'potential' route only. Flip to candidate only if WoS shows CPCI records for recent volumes.
- ✕Double blind — Claims 'double-blind peer reviewed', 2+ reviewers (publishing page), but full paper 15 Dec to acceptance 17 Dec
- ✕Indexing verified — No evidence of current CPCI coverage; no Scopus for proceedings
- ✕Known mill — Many editions a year, 2-day review, pay-to-publish without attending
- !Indexing specific — Only 'past Books'; no volume list
- !Organizer reputable — Private agency fronting university co-organisers
